In Year 3, children build on their previous learning and develop new skills and knowledge through our creative and diverse curriculum. Our topics in Year 3 include the Stone Age, Romans, volanoes and plants.
We organise educational trips as part of the children's learning and children also have the opportunity to learn to play the ukulele as part of an enriched music curriculum. All Year 3 children have weekly ukulele lessons and we look forward to sharing our music making with family and friends throughout the year.
The children will bring home both reading books which reflect the child's ability and library books which are chosen freely. We encourage reading and sharing of books at home and also the practising of number skills such as number facts and multiplication tables on Times Table Rock Stars and Stick and Split.
