In Year 3, children build on their previous learning and develop new skills and knowledge through our creative and diverse curriculum. Our topics in Year 3 include the Stone Age, Romans, volcanoes and plants. 

We organise educational trips as part of the children's learning and children also have the opportunity to learn to play the djembe drums, the ukulele and the recorder as part of an enriched music curriculum. All Year 3 children have weekly music lessons and we look forward to sharing our music making with family and friends throughout the year.

The children will sometimes bring home a reading book which reflect the child's ability and have the opportunity to select library books which are chosen freely. We encourage reading and sharing of books at home and also the practising of number skills such as number facts and multiplication tables on Times Table Rock Stars.
