SEND

At BPS, every single child matters and we see each individual as unique. We take all steps possible to meet their unique needs. We believe that every child and adult in the school has the right to equal treatment and opportunities, regardless of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, ability or disability. Inclusion for all is a key aspect of this school’s work. The most significant part of our work to achieve this is through a challenging, exciting and inclusive curriculum and through the highest quality teaching.

Our Inclusion Team, led by Mrs Towner and Mrs Alford and supported by our Inclusion Teachers, offer support to meet specific and wide ranging needs including emotional, behavioural and academic. The nature of this support varies from one child to another but aims to be flexible to meet a wide variety of changing circumstances. This does include the identification and remediation of Special Educational Needs. Our team of skilled teachers work with our specialist team for both the short and the long term to ensure that every child can make the best possible progress.

A copy of our Inclusion Policy is available on this website. If you would like to contact one of our Inclusion Leaders, please telephone the office or email the school office@billingshurstprimary.org.uk
